Ogbonna “Jay Tat” John was born and brought up in Lagos (Nigeria). After primary and secondary education in Nigeria, he proceeded to the prestigious Deltas University in Ghana where he currently studies Microbiology. With a passion for music that started with voice training in his local church, to
learning the piano with his bosom friend and producer, H.TEE. He started rapping professionally in 2009. While at Upper Room Studio, He collaborated with X-Nuel, D-Bam and Jefak. His collaboration with H.TEE in 2009 produced the single “Who be Dat”. He cites Common, Drake, Lil Wayne, Tyga, Twista, Snoop Dogg and J. Cole among his influences while he adored the musicality of Tuface Idibia and Dipp. He is currently working on his mixtape.
