Nicki Minaj has waged a war on US radio station Hot 97 after one of their DJ's insulted her at a concert she was due to headline.
'Roman Reloaded' star Minaj was due to perform at the station's annual Summer Jam concert in New York on Sunday (June 3) but was pulled out by boss Lil' Wayne after DJ Pete Rosenberg mocked her from the stage during the warm up for another act, Kendrick Lamar, earlier in the day.
Introducing Lamar, Roseberg said: "I know there are some chicks here waiting to sing ‘Starships’ later - I’m not talking to y’all right now.” Adding: “I’m here to talk about real hip-hop.”
Minaj and her Young Money crew heard about this and immediately pulled the headliner out of her slot, which had to be filled by Nas and Lauryn Hill. Minaj has since had a heated on air debate with Hot 97 DJ Funkmaster Flex about the reasons behind her decision and the insults she received from Roseberg.
